2. Ask to view at least 3 previouse jobs similar to yours
3. Always follow up references make sure they are genuine
4. Check the work on there website ask to see jobs featured as many builders post images downloaded from the internet.
5. Check the builders insurance
6. Ask to see a job in progress.
7. Never employ a builder who asks for upfront deposits
8. Ask if they provide a contract for the works to be carried out
9. Can they provide warranties for work carried out
